Somethings at home 2015

The 'Some things at home' series makes an asociation between human feelings as fears and desires with home forniture.

It's portraying social conventions and attitudes in images and tridimentional figures of daily life use, such as tables, chairs, wall paper, sofas, televisions and other things we collect to use at home.

Erika Stanley Sculpture Hanging Music Zapatofonos

Hanging music 2006-2012

The Hanging Music art works are called Painted Sculpture Installations or Interactive Assembles.

Music is the topic of the whole series, using real music instruments as part of each art piece. The exhibition is totally interactive. The instruments can be taken out from the sculptures to make music. Afterwards they can be brought back in position easily again.

The series searches for the interaction between the spectator and the art piece, in an attempt to make the viewer part of the piece and enjoy it in a different way.

Subworlds 1995-2005

These sculptures express daily life situations within surrealistic scenarios, constructed inside metal cages. The objects are interactive: one of the characters in each work is attached to a music box mechanism which gives the sculpture music and movement when activated.

The works are made of resin and mixed media inside metal cages. The sizes are 50cm diameter and 100cm height.
